August 4, 2023—
Today in The New York Review of Books it was announced that my forthcoming book This Resounding World: A Field Guide to Listening has been awarded a grant from The Robert B. Silvers Foundation. I am buoyed by this recognition & support!
The foundation is a charitable trust established at the bequest of the late Robert B. Silvers, a founding editor of The New York Review of Books, with the aim of supporting writers in the fields of long-form literary and arts criticism, the intellectual essay, political analysis, and social reportage.
There is much work yet to go, and this helps me carve the space for my book and bring it forth.
Lots of gratitude to Robert B. Silvers, who left a legacy of support that touches my life and my work.
